I own the enV2. It has a full qwerty keyboard for great texting, it is small, it holds 1000 contacts, it has a 2.0 camera. Over all it is a good phone. The samsung Glyde is a touch screen phone with a slide out keyboard. It runs for about $100 and so does the enV2. The LG Voyager is also a keyboard. It is like the enV2 in that it flips open sideways. It is like the Glyde in that it has a touch screen on the front. It runs for a little more(not intirely sure how much but it is under $200) than the other phones. the last phone is the LG Dare. It is all touch screen but when you text it will show a keyboard that you can type on. It is a fairly new phone so it is a little pricy(still not intirely sure how much it is)
hope this helped

Tracfone is probably the most reliable. You can buy them at Walgreens for about $20 for the phone. Checkout their website: [http://www.tracfone.com/]

Any 3rd party will work. Here is why they will give you a better deal
When you do an upgrade thru Sprint, you have the service agreement or contract thru Sprint for the discount. You have that also thru Amazon, Wirefly etc. What many consumers do not realize is that you also have a second service agreement thru that third party. If you add a feature or change your rate plan or make no changes at all you are agreeing to the set up of the account for a certain time frame. Most are between 3 – 6 months.
The return policy is based on that 3rd party and the phone may not be covered by Sprint's warranty program. You may upgrade and recieve an unlocked phone which means you could also have issues with functions of the phone more commonly internet which also interferes with picture messaging.
I have worked as a CSR for a different wireless company for over 4 years and these are examples of calls I have recieved from customers who took advantage of the better deals. Mainly wanting to know why they were charged an early termination or cancellation fee on their credit card after changing features or rate plan on their account.

AT&T hands down. Best coverage, best reception by far. I've used AT&T (in one form or another) since 1995 or so. My work cell is Verizon and I can't stand the sound quality. T-Mobile and Sprint don't have the coverage area that AT&T or even Verizon have.

It depends on what you need from cell phone.
But I don't think you need iPhone because not many Japanese people are using it now.
You are asking what the cheapest one is on another question. They answered Softbank White Plan.
I think that's the best for you as it has basic function of calling and texting.

When you setup your youtube account you can add an email account for uploading. All you need to upload videos to youtube is a phone that has a solid email account: I recommend pocketpc devices or even the Nokia N95.
Take a look at the N95 and the HTC Kaiser, I did a review on the N95 you can take a look at that. The N95 also has built in uploading for blogging and such which makes it a smart move.
